Destination Information:
Kalimantan, the largest island in Indonesia is surrounded by the tropical rain forest with the wonderful diversity of plant and wildlife includes the "Old Borneo Man" called Orangutan. The island is also surrounded by long river that you can also experience the tour by crossing the river while watching the rain forest during your tour. 5 Days Orangutan Tour is focused on watching the orangutan as well as enjoying the river tour.


Day 01 Pangkalan Bun – Orangutan.
Arriving Pangkalan Bun Airport, our guide will take you to Kumai to board on the traditional wooden river boat called Klotok. From the boat, you will be able to see the the nature in your surrounding as the boat crosses the river. Your needs are provided on the boat including simple mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral"water, mosquito net, kitchen as well as simple toilet. Dinner and overnight on the boat.


Day 02 Boat – Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey – Pangkalan Bun.
After having breakfast, continue traveling the river to get to Camp Leakey with a stop at Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for the new ex captive orangutans and see their feeding time. Continue the trip to Camp Leakey where you will see the older orang utan reintroduced into the rain forest. Having lunch on the boat. Before seeing the old orangutans are given the additional foods, you will have a small trekking. On the afternoon, return to Pangkalan Bun. Overnight at the hotel in Pangkalan Bun.


Day 03 Park – Kumai – Pangkalan Bun – Bakonsu Dayak Village.
Having breakfast on the early morning. Leaving the hotel to get to speed boat harbor. Boarding the boat on the Arut River then change to Lamandau River. During traveling by speed boat please keep your valuable thing and bring everything needed for your comfortable trip. Boarding the speed boat on the Arut River and change Lamandau River. Enjoy the view along the way where you pass some villages, logging company and rapids. After 4 hours driving, you will arrive at Bakonsu Village. You will be taken to your accommodation in long house. before the welcome dancing ceremony, you can spend your time for sightseeing around the village. After having dinner, the local people will take you to gather for their party where you will be welcome like a king or queen. Overnight at long house.


Day 04 Bakonsu Dayak Village – Pangkalan Bun.
After breakfast, get in touch with the elementary school's student by giving teaching practice. Having lunch with them then drive to Pangkalan Bun by speed boat. Arriving Pangkalan Bun, you will have free program. Overnight at a hotel in Pangkalan Bun.


Day 05 Pangkalan Bun – Departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport by car. Ending your tour.
