A visit to East Kalimantan is not complete without joining a tour to see the head hunters named Orangutan exist in the jungle of this island.
In this tour, we will take you to the natural habitat of the Orangutan as well as having an adventure tour to make you close to the nature, especially the wildlife in this island tropical rain forest.

Day 01 Balikpapan Airport – Orangutan  – Sun Bear – Black River – Samboja Lodge.
Arriving Balikpapan Airport, taking an hour driving to get to Samboja Lodge. The lodge has comfortable rooms with rainforest atmosphere. After checking in, enjoy the lunch at this lodge. On the late afternoon starting to observe the Orangutan Island, Sun Bear and make a visit to Black River to see the longnose monkeys and other animals. Back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 02 Samboja Lodge – Trekking to plant trees – Bukit Bengkirai – Canopy Bridge – Samboja Lodge.
Starts your second day by having breakfast for your energy. On this second day, you will be taken not only to have fun but also support the Orangutan survival foundation by planting fruit trees during trekking. Those fruit trees will be the food for Orangutan living there. Moreover, you will learn to love the nature and help the earth from global warming threat. You can also observe Orangutan living around Samboja Lodge and other animals in Borneo Sun Bear that has been developed since 1992 for Orangutan Survival Foundation. It has been released about 200 Orangutan to their pure nature in 6 islands around the lodge. Then, you will be taken to visit Bukit Bengkirai to see the primary rainforest and canopy bridge. Lunchbox is provided. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 03 Samboja Lodge – Balikpapan Airport
Before leaving the lodge, you still have another trekking around the lodge to see the Orangutan's feeding time about 06.45 am. After finishing your last trip, return to the lodge to proceed to airport in Balikpapan to catch your flight. During the trip to Balikpapan, there is a stop at Teritip for a visit to Crocodile Farms.
